Software Systems Development
Performed System Analysis and Software Development of distribution & warehousing systems using Progress 4GL relational database. Key member in an upgrade team that performed a software system upgrade from MFGPRO 8.6e to QAD2008. Evaluated user needs and operational procedures to determine and implement best solutions through a combination of technical enhancements and revision of SOPs. Accomplished objectives in a large team environment coordinating the efforts of coworkers with my own to get the job done on time. Excelled as the only developer in a small IT staff of four with a heavy workload that included system and user support functions as well as flourished in a team of developers. Achieved a high level of customer satisfaction as an independent consultant balancing the demands of multiple clients.
Project Management
Led an interdepartmental team to design and implement e-commerce website. This website enabled the company to cost effectively reach “Mom & Pop” stores. Directed a team of IT and warehouse staff to facility the implementation of a more efficient method of shipping multiple small packages via FedEx which resulted in a savings of a quarter million dollars annually. Managed and participated in the development and implementation of distribution software system. Projects included design meetings to determine objectives and requirements, presentation of solution to stakeholders, creation of development plan, coordination of project with internal and external developers, solution implementation and “go live”, establishment of operational procedures and staff training as well as follow-up review after implementation to determine if goals were reached.

Software development with Progress 4GL in support of MFG/PRO ERP System. Key member of group which performed an upgrade from MFGPRO 8.6 to QAD2008. Team environment where team of 7 shared development and support functions. Development is done using a set of specific procedures that includes QA of code and functionality to minimize problems upon release to production. Role includes support of heavy use of Sigconnects for data loading. Helped implement Sarbanes-Oxley practices. Involved in projects that include trigger wrapper programs for validation of data where source code is not available, consolidation of multipart orders due to MFG/PRO 999 line limitation, automatic split/allocation of sales orders across facilities based on inventory availability. Worked in CHAR & NETUI environments and faced the challenge of getting custom code to work from different interfaces. Expert QA Analyst.
